She is one of the singers of the legendary pop & poetry series of the radio station SWR, he is her congenial companion: The singer Simone von Racknitz-Luick and guitarist and pianist Gerhard Knoppek presents on Saturday, 15th February, from 7.30 pm their program “So long, Leonard”. The musical obituary of Leonard Cohen, who died in 2016, will be heard in the gallery Bonarte by Thea Bayer-Rossi in Bonfeld, Kirchhausener Straße 1.

Simone von Racknitz-Luick sings songs like “So long, Marianne”, which Cohen dedicated to his first great love, or “Chelsea Hotel # 2”, a masterpiece about New York, where Cohen had affairs with Joni Mitchell and Janis Joplin.

An evening full of poetry

Clever and finely tuned is the program of the two regional artists. They play songs from Leonard Cohen and perform lyrics by Federico García Lorca, the poet who most influenced the musician. The program contains the only top-ten song, the legendary singer-songwriter ever had, as well as “Hallelujah” – the song which consolidated his worldwide fame.

Blacksheep invites you to an evening full of poetry and enjoyment and flank the concert with small food and drinks. Tickets cost 18 Euros in advance.
