Beat the Drum succeeds in bringing the music of the legendary group Runrig to life. “They simply pay a very worthy tribute to the band, even more so since Bruce Guthro’s so sad, far too early death,” writes one of our true festival visitors Anne W.,  in anticipation of the young, dynamic band from Scotland.

“From the beginning, we didn’t want to be a tribute band that just pretended. We wanted the show to be a celebration of Runrig’s music. Yes, we wanted it to sound authentic and represent what Runrig is all about went,” says Ben Marshall, manager of Beat the Drum. The Runrig Experience is not just about filling a gap, but celebrating Runrig’s music and incredible contribution to Scotland as a whole.

Beat the Drum – The Runrig Experience will play at the 9th blacksheep Festival on Saturday, 22nd June 2024
