Festival is cancelled

Dear blacksheep friends!

Because of government’s decision to ban big events until the end of August, we have no choice but to cancel the blacksheep Festival for this year.

We deeply regret this, but we also know that health comes first and therefore we look ahead: at the blacksheep Festival 2021, which will take place from Thursday, 24th June, to Saturday, 26th June.

The first bands from this year’s line-up have already signaled that they would like to be there next year. We are currently playing the 7th Blacksheep Band Contest for the FÖRCH Young Talent Award online until 24th April. This time the winning band will not be the last act we book – but the first for 2021. We plan to open the festival Friday with the winner of the 7th blacksheep band contest – and the opening of the festival Saturday with the winner of the 8th blacksheep band contest, which will take place in April 2021.

Regarding the re-processing of tickets, we unfortunately have to ask for your patience.

We are currently discussing the procedure – and will communicate it promptly. In principle, you can donate the ticket amount in whole or in part (donation account: blacksheep Kulturinitiative Bonfeld e.V. Kreissparkasse Heilbronn IBAN: DE02620500000000340368), keep the tickets for the festival in 2021 or have the money refunded. The refund will be made from May 15th.

For a cultural initiative such as blacksheep, which is carried out only by volunteers, the festival cancellation also means massive economic cuts. We hope and fight to survive this crisis, and we are grateful for any support and donations.

We are looking ahead: in addition to the event with Café del Mundo on Saturday, 31th October, in the Kursaal in Bad Wimpfen. Current information is always available at www.blacksheep-kultur.de or via the newsletter.
